They took the opportunity to see up close our CNC machines and the rest of the production machinery.

Later, our commercial Alberto Fiorani oversaw the presentation of production processes displayed in showrooms to the group and to end the tour it visited the Foundry.

Superfici, the Scm Group brand specialised in finishing technologies, has taken part at Ligna for 20 editions.  Andreas Zuge of the Deutsche Messe presented and official certificate to Gloria Valtorta and Raphaël Prati as acknowledgement and appreciation to Scm Group’s commitment to Ligna.

In the meantime, an increasing number of German, Norwegian, Danish and American customers are currently visiting our stands at Ligna.

Duluth, GA – The Woodworking Machinery Industry Association named Scm Group North America its 2012 Partner of the Year. The award was presented at the 2013 Woodworking Industry Conference held last month in Phoenix, AZ. Since 1994, the award has been conferred by WMIA’s distributor members on the manufacturer or importer that best exemplifies the spirit of partnership in its dealings with woodworking machinery distributors.

“In today’s business environment, partnership between manufacturers, importers and distributors is more important than ever, by working together, we are able to offer a superior buying and ownership experience to our customers” said WMIA President John Henderson. “The Partner of the Year Award recognizes this fact” he continued, since its inception more than 60 years ago, Scm Group has considered the independent distributor at the core of its marketing success. The company currently works with more than 350 distributors worldwide.

Scm Group North America’s president John Gangone, when accepting the award, said “I would like to thank WMIA for this recognition and especially our distribution network that has, through their loyalty and support, helped make Scm Group a leading machinery supplying company in North America”.

Mr. Wang together with some managers of his company, the MingZhu Furniture Corporation of Chengdu (China), took advantage of his European tour to visit different Scm Group production sites spread all over Italy in the days between April the 9th and 11th.

Welcomed by our Vice-president Andrea Aureli in Rimini, the visit began with the presentation of  Scm Group in the Leonardo hall and continued with the tour of our showroom. In the following days, they visited Villa Verucchio Components factory, Stefani in Thiene and the Superfici Lab located in Monza.

The successfull 2013 edition of Interzum in Guangzhou (China) has just ended, Asia’s most comprehensive woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior design trade fair: a 130,000 sqm area hosting 1,095 exhibitors from 251 different countries of the world.

Scm Group took part at the event with a 660 sqm stand, showcasing a range of machines presented by 10 engineers, 10 Scm area managers and 20 distributor salesman.   The machinery, some of which specifically developed and designed for the Chinese market, included Premium line machines such as  SI 400 Nova, Cyflex F900, Olimpic K600, Tech Z2, Pratika 310, Sigma Impact 107, Fit 100 SL and the Industrial line like Record 100, Uniflex HP, Solution HD Slim Line,  System and Magnum.

A great success for the project I Wood Like… by international visitors who came especially from the East, the U.S., Russia and India. The stand was visited by famous people such as the mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, the Minister of Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transport Corrado Passera, the president of Confindustria Giorgio Squinzi, the President of Maxxi, Giovanna Melandri, the President of the Lombardy Region Roberto Maroni, the Vice-President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani, in addition to well-known architects such as Marc Sadler.

To receive them, for SCM Group the President Giovanni Gemmani and co-owner Adriano Aureli; for FederlegnoArredo, President Roberto Snaidero and the General Manager Giovanni De Ponti.

In addition, many students, accompanied by their teachers, were able to observe closely the working center Tech Z5, which guarantees excellent performance. At the stand, three artisans demonstrate how to produce by hand wooden objects and our technicians with the use of CNC, the use of which has been promoted especially for young people. A theme also covered by international publications such as The Economist, which supports the flexibility of production in all sectors.

A group of clients from Mexico visited the Scm Group production facilities in Italy and the headquarters in Rimini. They had the opportunity to get a closer look at the CNC machines in operation.  The guided visit included the showroom,  the foundry and components factory as well as the  Classical machinery lines in Villa Verucchio.
