SCM Group Today

3rd and 4th day:  webcams constantly film  “swarming” stands. The 3rd day ended with a meeting dedicated to our international distributors. Adriano Aureli, Vice President of SCM Group, made a short speech in the welcome area of our stand in hall 25. First he  mentioned the historical steps related to our creation of new technologies, then he talked about the good results riched after 40 millions invested and he closed encoraging the team work with the music of  “Nessun Dorma” by Puccini.

The acquisition of Balestrini, the SCM Group 50 years presence at Ligna, the tech tour with 40 international journalists and a full booth: many events for our 2^nd day in Ligna.

SCM Group and CMS Industries announced the acquisition of Balestrini, appreciated as manufacturer of special machines for the solid wood machining for 57 years, in the field of chairs, tables and similar products. Balestrini is now part of CMS Industries, as a consequence of the strong orientation of the Bergamo-based brand to the solid wood machining by special solutions.

During the second day, SCM Group was awarded for its 50 years presence in Ligna, by Hannover Messe. The first booth was in 1961. The award ceremony was attended by the members of SCM Group board: Alfredo Aureli, Adriano Aureli, Andrea Aureli, Enrico Aureli, Giovanni Gemmani and Stefano Monetini and by the members of the Hannover Messe board.

A group of 40 international journalists follow the “Press Tech Tour” starting from hall 11 when we show the novelties for the joinery and ending in hall 25 where we show novelties for the industry.

All the “wood world” is in Hannover. Ligna opens with a big attendance on SCM Group booths. Many technological novelties were showed, the result of two years of investments in R&D (in the pictures the meeting of the technical staff on our stand). The smile of our receptionist and the willingness of our technicians and sales managers welcome many international groups that could appreciated and see on demo all last SCM Group solutions, obtaining personalize informations.
