The successfull 2013 edition of Interzum in Guangzhou (China) has just ended, Asia’s most comprehensive woodworking machinery, furniture production and interior design trade fair: a 130,000 sqm area hosting 1,095 exhibitors from 251 different countries of the world.
Scm Group took part at the event with a 660 sqm stand, showcasing a range of machines presented by 10 engineers, 10 Scm area managers and 20 distributor salesman. The machinery, some of which specifically developed and designed for the Chinese market, included Premium line machines such as SI 400 Nova, Cyflex F900, Olimpic K600, Tech Z2, Pratika 310, Sigma Impact 107, Fit 100 SL and the Industrial line like Record 100, Uniflex HP, Solution HD Slim Line, System and Magnum.
A great success for the project I Wood Like… by international visitors who came especially from the East, the U.S., Russia and India. The stand was visited by famous people such as the mayor of Milan, Giuliano Pisapia, the Minister of Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transport Corrado Passera, the president of Confindustria Giorgio Squinzi, the President of Maxxi, Giovanna Melandri, the President of the Lombardy Region Roberto Maroni, the Vice-President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani, in addition to well-known architects such as Marc Sadler.
To receive them, for SCM Group the President Giovanni Gemmani and co-owner Adriano Aureli; for FederlegnoArredo, President Roberto Snaidero and the General Manager Giovanni De Ponti.
In addition, many students, accompanied by their teachers, were able to observe closely the working center Tech Z5, which guarantees excellent performance. At the stand, three artisans demonstrate how to produce by hand wooden objects and our technicians with the use of CNC, the use of which has been promoted especially for young people. A theme also covered by international publications such as The Economist, which supports the flexibility of production in all sectors.
